Day 12: Fast

Thank you to the many friends and family who joined us on Sunday to fast and pray for Ronda. Ronda was a lot more alert and chatty today than in the past few days. We attribute it to hopefully catching up on sleep and maybe also recovering from a mild infection. This morning Mike got a phone call from Ronda and was able to hear her real voice for the first time.

We are having glimpses of Ronda from time to time but she is not fully awake yet. Amber described conversations with Ronda as sort of like that moment between sleep and awake when things sort of make sense but sort of do not. I do not expect her to remember very much, if any, of this time period.

She is making us giggle from time to time as little bits of Ronda shine through. When the doctor was leaving today, he asked if he could do anything for her. Ronda said, "I need my hair to grow back that's what I need." He told her it would take some time and she said "Fine, I'll just make sure to sit in the back of sacrament meeting until then."
